While studying in Copenhagen, I was tasked with creating a fictional sports organization that represented the values and traditions of the entire Nordic region. The deliverables included a logotype, a team uniform kit, tickets, and promotional posters. Additionally, the project required that the type used in our logo be entirely custom (whether it be a tweaked version of a pre-existing typeface, or designed entirely from scratch).
Following a period of research, I found that each Nordic country had a unique attachment to its natural surroundings. This theme was manifested through the region's collective mastery of woodworking, the many seafood-based delicacies, and the heavily embraced tradition of hunting and foraging throughout history (most prominently seen in the 9th-11th centuries when the territory was occupied by Vikings).
