hour 99

branding, print, publication

Created the branding of Hour 99, a new years eve art show hosted by 99 Neighbors - an up-and-cominghip-hop group, and Alibi Hour a DIY art organization. The event consisted of an art gallery, a fashion show, and a midnight hip-hop performance. Deliverables include posters, zines, business cards, and social media assets.

BUSINESS CARDS
In order to promote the event in a more analog way, I designed business cards that could be distributed (and planted) around the city of Burlington.

ZINE SPREADS
The Hour 99 zine featured interviews, photos, and self-portraits of all participants to help attendees learn more about the faces behind the artwork. One of the biggest challenges I faced during the creation of the zine was designing the inside cover in a way that was compelling but not too repetitive. I decided to copy all of the self-portraits and arrange them together to best represent Hour 99’s goal of building community through the arts.

DIGITAL CONTENT
In an effort to heighten the sense of anticipation amongst Alibi Hour’s digital audience, I designed a digital poster that could be broken into a 3 X 3 grid, and posted in segments leading up to the show. This method of posting the design in fragments not only assisted in creating a consistent social media presence, but encouraged followers to tune in each day to decipher what the final design might look like.
